The vault, on the device already in your hand.

CareVaultHub has native apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. They are the same vault you use on the web — same records, same documents, same trusted circle — built for the moments when you are standing in a clinic hallway rather than sitting at a desk.

iPhone

The whole vault in a pocket. Face ID or Touch ID to open, the emergency Care Summary two taps from the Home Screen, and document scanning with the camera.

Requires iOS 26 or later.

iPad

The same app, laid out for the larger screen — useful for working through the guided setup, or reading a scanned IEP or care plan at full size.

Requires iPadOS 26 or later.

Mac

A native Mac app, not a web page in a window. Every care section sits in a sidebar with the content beside it, so filling in a record is closer to working in Mail or Notes than to filling in a form.

Requires macOS 26 or later. Apple silicon.

What the apps do

Everything the web vault does, plus the things only a device you carry can do.

Your whole vault, not a summary of it

Every care record and every section — medical, medications, allergies, contacts, providers, insurance, benefits, behavioural and safety, communication, diet, daily routine, education, living arrangements, legal and financial — readable and editable. The guided setup wizard saves and resumes across devices.

The emergency Care Summary, offline

Turn on Emergency Mode and the one-page summary is kept encrypted on the device, behind Face ID or Touch ID, with the date it was last refreshed printed on it. It opens in an ambulance bay with no signal. You can wipe it at any time.

Scan documents with the camera

Photograph a discharge summary, a guardianship order or an insurance card and it goes straight into the document vault, scanned for viruses, readable everywhere else. On the Mac, drag the file in instead.

Check in without opening anything

If you use the continuity check-in, the app turns it into one biometric tap on a notification. Successor invitations, break-glass access and the access history are all there too.

Reminders that arrive

Renewal dates, review dates and check-in windows come through as notifications with the action built in, and collect in an inbox inside the app.

Locked the way the web vault is

The same password and authenticator two-factor sign-in, plus a biometric app lock, a privacy cover in the app switcher, and a fresh biometric check before a Social Security number, trust EIN or insurance member ID is ever shown.

Who can use them

Apps are included with a plan, never sold separately. There is nothing to buy inside them.

Do my successors and trusted circle need their own subscription?

No — and this is the part worth reading twice. The apps follow the plan of the person who owns the record, not the person holding the phone. If a relative names you as their successor on a Family plan, you can use the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps on that record for free, forever, with no subscription of your own. A successor who met a paywall while stepping in during an emergency would defeat the entire point of this product.

I'm on Essentials. What happens if I open the app?

You can sign in, and any record someone else has shared with you from a Family or Guardian vault works normally. Your own record is web-only on Essentials, and the app will say so and point you to the web vault. Nothing is lost or hidden — everything you have saved is on the web exactly as before.

What if my subscription ends?

A Family or Guardian vault that lapses becomes read-only, including in the apps. You and everyone you trusted keep reading every record, downloading every document and sharing the emergency Care Summary. Records are never deleted because a subscription ended.

Is there anything to buy inside the apps?

No. Subscriptions are managed here on the web, in Billing. The apps read your plan and honour it; they never sell anything.

Is my data stored on the device?

Only if you switch on Emergency Mode, and then only the one-page Care Summary — encrypted with a key held in the device Keychain and unlocked by Face ID or Touch ID. Everything else is fetched from the vault as you look at it. Signing out wipes the device copy.

Can I use the same account on all three?

Yes. One CareVaultHub account covers the web, iPhone, iPad and Mac, on as many devices as you own. Changes made on one appear on the others.

Getting the apps

The iPhone, iPad and Mac apps are with Apple for App Store review. They are not downloadable yet.

Nothing about the web vault changes when they arrive, and there is nothing extra to pay — if you are on Family or Guardian, they are already part of your plan. Email support@carevaulthub.com and we will tell you the day they are live.

Included with Family and Guardian — at no extra cost.
